COLDROOM FABRIC ENGINEER

We are seeking a Coldroom Fabric Engineer to join our expert team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the construction, installation and ongoing maintenance of coldroom structures, ensuring all work meets exacting industry standards. You will collaborate closely with project managers, refrigeration engineers and quality teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair and maintain coldroom panels, doors and associated fabric components.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to deliver precise, high-quality work.
  • Identify and resolve structural or insulation issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs and safety documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and quality standards.

Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in coldroom fabrication, panel installation, or a related engineering field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insulated panel systems and coldroom construction techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Full UK driving licence; CSCS card or equivalent preferred.

COLDROOM TRAINEE INSTALLER

We’re offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to begin a career in the coldroom installation industry.

As a Coldroom Trainee Installer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to build, install and maintain high-quality coldroom systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, good attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of coldroom panels, doors, and structural components
  • Support experienced engineers on site and learn all aspects of coldroom construction
  • Help identify and report issues such as panel damage or air leaks
  • Follow health, safety and quality procedures at all times
  • Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow

What You’ll Bring

  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn a skilled trade
  • Good practical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Punctual, reliable and willing to work on various sites across the region
  • Full UK driving licence (or working towards one) preferred
  • CSCS card advantageous but not essential – full training provided.
